Mikasa Park Approach Road in the ten thousand Meter Promenade

Mikasa Street is a park promenade about 10,000 meters long that runs along the ocean, connecting JR Yokosuka Station and Kannonzaki. The entrance to the United States military base is about 300 meters from the sea side of Mikasa Park. Built parallel to the road on one side, Mikasa Park is nearly 26 meters wide and is separated into four different characteristically different personalities, all connected by a small flow of water. It was anticipated that this promenade heralded a new image for Yokosuka.
